Took about 1.5 month (partially due to it being during the Christmas period). Was a rather lengthy, but overall pleasant process. I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Nov 2022 Interview It shows very little alignment or little transparency, both are bad. 1.5 week later > 100 roles were made redundant. I was assured none of the above is being planned. I also asked my hiring manager about their business outlook for Miro in 20 and whether hiring slowdown, freeze or even reduction of workforce can be predicted in the foreseeable future. So probably he now has other things to do than informing me about the outcome. I wanted to message the recruiter on LinkedIn, but saw his role has become redundant by Miro already. Almost 2 weeks have passed, nobody contacted me. Hiring manager told recruiter would contact me in a few days. It was a demanding conversation, but I liked that and I think that I did quite well. First I got contacted by a recruiter and then the first round was hiring manager interview. The process started in the beginning of January. I applied online. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Jan 2023 Interview The whole process took about 6 weeks, with slight delays due to the busy time of year. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions. The interviews were casual in nature, which allowed a nice dialogue on both professional and personal experiences. Because I spoke to quite a few different people throughout the process, I feel that I got a comprehensive impression of the people and culture at Miro, at least within my particular team. A strong emphasis throughout the process seemed to be way you fit culturally within the team and organisation at large, along with your fit within the particular role. The various interviews seemed to focus on getting to know me, not only professionally, but also personally. The final interview was with the Head of People Ops. The third rounds consisted of 3 talks with 3 Mironeers based at various office locations/departments. The first interview with the recruiter, second interview with hiring manager. The interview process consisted of 4 rounds. I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Jan 2023 Interview Their helpful attitude and commitment to my process ultimately made the experience positive and influenced my decision to take the role. In addition, the recruiter was always available to answer any questions or provide additional resources to help me through the process. They also gave me feedback after each round of interviews and provided guidance and advice on how to best prepare for the next round. They provided clear and concise information about the job position and the company, and answered any questions I had. The recruiter was extremely helpful during the interview process. Interview with a member of extended leadership with general conversation on all around fit for the role. Interview with members of team & cross functional colleagues for questions about cross functional partnerships, values, building relationships, critical thinking, coaching, and role related qualifications and experience. More in-depth and specific information provided about the role. Series of questions on experience and qualifications. Discussed the job description, skills and qualifications needed for the position, and asked initial questions about the role and the company. ![]() Otherwise, you might be at risk that Miro will play with your life.I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Miro (Amsterdam) in Feb 2023 Interview So if by any chance you are considering relocating, I'd definitely suggest thinking twice and at least making sure that they will provide you with a permanent contract. At least they could've let me work remotely before making sure that they will need me for a longer period of time and asking me to relocate. This was completely unexpected, irresponsible, and unacceptable for a company with a such great reputation. Eventually, we had to move back to our home country, since it was extremely complicated for me to get a visa sponsorship. My family and I were left on our own, and since I needed a visa sponsorship in order to stay in the country, I had to figure it out all by myself. They asked me to relocate with my family and 6 months after I moved they told me my role had been made redundant due to unexpected changes in their hiring plans for next year which they "couldn't have foreseen" just a few months ago when they had asked me to relocate. The leadership team is extremely bad at decision-making.
